Emily-Rose Da Silveira (aka Yiaxis) is a London based Costume Designer for Film, Commercials and music video/Promo’s. In the world of feature films, she works regularly as part of the design team for award winning Costume Designers on Blockbuster films such as ‘Dark Knight’ (please refer to her Film Credits). Emily-Rose has received mass praise for her work designing the iconic costumes for the Movie pilot/short film: ‘Street Fighter Legacy’ which has become an online sensation and will be lead Costume Designer on the follow up series and Movie in development.

She graduated with a B.A Hons from the Wimbledon School of Art in Theatre Design/Costume Design and a earned a Diploma from Central St Martins School of Art (graduating in 2002).

She has an excellent knowledge of historical reference and has recently, solely researched for Ridley Scott’s ‘Robin Hood’ in the Costume Department.

As well as having an excellent historical understanding, she is also capable of creating any contemporary style, using her roots and contacts within the fashion world.

Within her team she has the knowledge and use of industry leading Costume Makers/Tailors; Costume Prop Makers; Leather Makers and Costume Hire houses all that work primarily for the Film Industry.

Emily-Rose’s roots are art based; she has won awards and scholarships for her artistic abilities, both for painting oil on canvas and ceramics. Her passion has always been in the arts, which has been demonstrated in her outstanding creative ability when creating her costumes and illustrations. She chose costume design over fashion because of her enjoyment of developing character and exploring the human condition.
